What is Kriya yoga?
Eternal Kriya yoga is the action or process by which union with the Absolute can be attained. Kriya yoga has been, is and will be flowing through the time continuum. Eternal Kriya yoga is being traded these days. It is allied now with the tradition concept. Kriya yoga being eternal is devoid of tradition, is neither old nor new and is unchangeable. Kriya yoga and Rajayoga of the Gita are the same. This is soul-science.
Why is Kriya yoga eternal?
Animate objects like all living beings and inanimate objects like dust particles, rocks, stones, mountains, rivers, seas etc. have all originated from Still Brahma. But the moment they are created they attain dynamism, their Kriya or karma or action commences. They undergo the process of gradual evolution, that is they evolve in their next birth as insects, then as birds, as animals, etc. After traversing 840,000 births they are born as humans. Therefore this cycle of births and rebirths is the constant eternal process of evolution. This constant process is Kriya or action and each evolution is a step to elevation. Each step is the gradual path to achieve union with the Absolute. This infers that till a being attains Kriya yoga He performs actions to unite with the Absolute without knowing it. The evolutionary cycle itself is a natural process to achieve union with the Absolute because gradual evolution purports the path to reach the origin. i.e. Static Brahma. After purification through traversing many human births, man is ordained to obtain Kriya yoga. After obtaining Kriya yoga if man practises it with proper devotion and sincerity, the remaining cycle of 10,000 births which he had to traverse can be reduced to three births. In this regard Yogiraj has remarked --- If anyone so desires to attain salvation (moksha) in this birth itself he would then have to abide by the Guru’s command. After this his human life will attain fullfilment. i.e. he will unite with Still Brahma, his origin. If man practises Kriya yoga ardently and austerely with devotion and rigorous discipline he can fulfil his human birth in this present birth itself, i.e he will overcome the incessant birth-death cycle and become one with Absolute Brahma, his origin. When union with the Eternal Origin Absolute Brahma occurs, incessant flow stops for the yogi. Kriya yoga is ever eternal flowing incessantly within the creation.
