The Present Trend of Kriya Yoga

  1. The present trend is the association of Kriya yoga with personal names. Eternal Kriya yoga is not anyone's personal property. The linking of Kriya yoga with personal names, for instance Mr. A's kriya or Mr. B's kriya or Mr. C's kriya and so on and so forth implies defiling the concept of eternity.
    Yogiraj, Eternal Master is the Fountain-Head, the Author of Kriya yoga. It is His property. Others are teachers or else Kriya yoga masters only, Yogiraj has set the discipline that Kriya yoga should pass down from Master to the disciple who is elevated as well as apt.
    Yogiraj practised Kriya yoga Himself and initiated many in this path for their emnciapation. Thus he revived Kriya yoga which had become decadent due to the influence of the age. Kriya yoga finds mention in the Indian scriptures. It is referred to as Rajayoga, also Rajayoga finds mention of Gita. Through aeons rishis, munis have been practising this yoga. Kriya is not a game to be played. This is a perfunctory attitude towards Sublime Kriya yoga and is taboo.
  2. Kriya initiation is a sublime process. It highlights the sanctity and sacredness of the Guru-disciple relationship. But it is indeed a misfortune that Kriya initiation today has denigrated into a study-course for a certain year period. The Guru who has attained khecari, he only is authorised to impart initiation. Reaching of the tongue in the upper palate does not imply attainment of khecari, khecari imples the void. By raising the tongue in the upper palate, the one who has practising dilident ardent copious pranayamas daily will ultimately inevitably settle in the void, it is then that he will go beyond the gross vices or the gross sensory faculties being in total communion with the Absolute. This is the attainment of khecari. Without khecari, a Kriyaban cannot attain or proceed to the 2nd step of Kriya. In accordance with the tenets of Yogiraj it is now that such a person is authorised to impart initiation which only his Guru will realise. A Kriya-Guru can never become a self-made Guru, neither can be become one if he has not attained khecari. If the Kriya-Guru order is perpetrated in deflection to the tenets of Yogiraj Shama Churn Lahiree, the Fountain-Head of Kriyayoga, dichotomies, discord and a thoroughly unstable, relationship will exist between Guru and disciple, resulting in the disciple suffering a total state of disillusionment. Some may comment that khecari is practised by frags and snakes. But Yogiraj has remarked--- "Practice of khecari controls the sensory vices."
  3. Kriya yoga has become a source of competition now to the extent that redundant words like pure, original, true, authentic are being allied to Kriya yoga. None realize that the sublimity of Kriya yoga is lost if there is this type of commercial bartering.
  4. Yogiraj revived, advocated, practised Kriya yoga has been assiduously, precisely and impeccably practised by Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee who imparts Kriya yoga initiation. The Kriya yoga practice tecnique imparted by him strictly adheres to the ideals as laid down by Yogiraj.
