Yogiraj Shyamacharan Sanatan Mission

To uphold the tenets and ideals of Yogiraj Shama Churn Lahiree. Yogiraj Shyamacharan Sanatan Mission has been founded in September 30, 1991 by Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee, a World Kriya yoga Master. This Mission organises free medical camps annually and free food camps, distribution of clothes to the needy etc. quarterly. The medical camp organised in April 1996 was the largest of it's kind in West Bengal. The principal feature of this camp is setting up a cancer detection centre annually and providing free medical aid to the affflicted ones. People irrespective of caste, colour from both the Orient and Occident are flocking the precincts of this Mission to gain succour and peace through Kriya yoga and are indeed benefitting.
This Mission is a world platform for inspiring the masses about the knowledge of the scientific sastra-approved Kriya yoga revived by Yogiraj so that it does not become decadent.
This Mission is striving to reorient man in the path of truth thus invite Satyayuga so that the future generation is replete with love; affection,; compassion; that there is a gradual decrease in materialism; that man will forget the division of religions because religions could not produce harmony; that communal mentality regarding religion is eliminate.
The Mission thus teaches man to become a human in the true sense of the word. It provides guidance to nurse the soul or Prana, for then man will gradually realise his own potential. He will then strive to fulfil his human birth by yearning to tread on the path of salvation and ultimately attain it . As long as man remains within the clutches of births and deaths, he remains a victim of happiness and sorrow.
This Mission houses the majestic stately temple of Yogiraj Shama Churn Lahiree which is still under construction. This purports that the Mission has a double fold objective. One is to cause an awakening of the tenets and ideals of Yogiraj and Kriyayoga alongwith devoting time for rendering social welfare. Appeased by the philanthropic activities coupled with propagating the sublime ideals of Yogiraj an Union Minister of state, Govt. of India has donated a vehicle to the Mission in January, 2002 to facilitate the endeavours of the Mission to cater to the needs of the hapless ones based on the remotest areas of Kakdwip. On this day a free medical camp was organised which served a few hundred people.
The Mission is on the move to undertake projects for benefitting the underdeveloped areas in and around Kakdwip; the women and children medically; for advocating literacy etc.
A four-storeyed guest house to accomodate devotees is under construction on the Mission premises. The Mission also proposes to build a convention hall and hold periodic seminars, discoruses and symposiums on Yogiraj and Kriyayoga; alongwith acquiring all the adjoining lands to enable a peaceful congencial ethos conducive for spirituality, hence the hallowed precints which will in years to come assume the status of a world platform.
